Thursday, September 19, 2013

6:30-9pm – Parent Walk Through.  All parents are invited to experience your child’s school schedule and meet his/her teachers as part of this evening parent orientation.

8 AM to 3 PM - Byng Arts Application packages are available in the Main School Office until December deadline.

Wednesday, November 06, 2013

7 PM Auditorium - Parent Information night; Find out more about the program, meet students, staff, and the coordinator, ask questions and pick up the Byng Arts Application package if you have not already done so.

Space is extremely limited. It would be appreciated if only a single parent representative and the applicant attend.

Please note: Parents and applicants will attend separate presentations.

Current Grade 7 students applying for all mini-school programs (including Byng Arts) - Mandatory VSB test registration begins online. Go to the VSB website www.vsb.bc.ca to register. This must be done in addition to applying to Byng Arts (see below).

Your test site information will be emailed to you prior to the test. Lord Byng will not be able to provide this information.

Byng Arts Mini-School online registration begins. Go to http://byng.vsb.bc.ca/byngarts/. Applicants must submit both a paper application and the online form to be considered.

All students, please use the application number found on your official application envelope.

Tuesday, December 10, 2013

Grade 7 Mini School Applicants only - District-wide testing for all Grade 7 mini-school applicants. Time: 12:30 – 4pm.  Testing sites TBA. See the VSB website www.vsb.bc.ca for updates.

Thursday, December 19 by 2 PM in the Office

Deadline for Byng Arts Registration: Complete application packages (online and paper) due for all grades

If winter report cards are not ready at this point, submit the application as is and forward the report card ASAP. The online form will remain available until January 01 to allow applicants to update missing information.

Lord Byng Secondary will offer a Math placement exam for those wishing to be considered for enriched Math 8 - register when you fill in your enrollment form.

 

Students with French Immersion will be placed in an upper level junior French Class (French 11) no placement exam is required.
