Project 2b – Room Escape

In this project, you will be creating a game from the Room Escape genre.

Required Elements:

  1.  Multiple scenes linked together in a sequence that you can navigate by clicking on sprites such as arrows, doorways, locations on maps, etc.  Use broadcasts to coordinate scene changes.
  2. An inventory of items you have picked up.  Possessing items will allow you to make progress in the game that would otherwise be blocked to you (for example, having the gold key will allow you to open a door that was locked at the beginning of the game).  Use a list to implement an inventory.
  3. Puzzles such as combination locks where you must enter the correct code in order to make progress in the game.

How Quality Will be Judged:

  1. The game should have a polished finish.  Quality of graphics, transitions, theme / storyline and music / sound effects are all to be taken into consideration.
  2. The game should present a challenge.  The solution to the game should not be obvious, but also the solution should not be impossible.
  3. No bugs in game play!
