Happy Sunday everyone!
Len and I got our hoe on today and weeded about half of what we hope will soon be a vegetable garden in our yard. My mom has been the gardener in our house until now, but she’s too busy this year, so I’m going to take over! Oh dear. I don’t think I know what I’m getting myself into.
But I can see that this might be something I could really get into and feel passionate about, so I’m excited to give it a whirl!
We only got through two rows before our yard trimming cart was practically full. And it was starting to really rain on us. So we called it a day.
And I started snapping photos of my mom’s flowers around the yard!
I can’t wait until the peonies bloom! They remind me of my family’s first house in Regina, where we had gorgeous, pillowy peonies in our front yard every spring. I love the look of peony buds too:
Half more hour until the Canucks take on the Sharks! Go Canucks go! =)

In other random news, I stayed up til a seriously ungodly hour last night creating my recipe pages. Took me a long time to get it the way I want it, but I’ve finally compiled my favourite recipes together! Check out my new sidebar additions too and let me know what you think! 🙂
